Seven talented Senior House pupils and one Å·ÃÀ×ÔÅÄ's alumni chose to showcase their artistic prowess at the renowned Kettle's Yard gallery in Cambridge as part of the 'Paint What Matters' exhibition. This unique event, running from February 26 to March 9, 2025, invited young artists aged 4-21 from across Cambridge to express their creativity on themes that resonate deeply with them.
The Form 6 House Debating Semi-Final was an amazing experience for all involved, not least for the teachers and judges who were watching. The audience was treated to intelligent ideas that were delivered fluently and persuasively. English lesson time spent studying rhetoric, famous speeches and persuasive delivery has obviously paid dividends and this is the first time that all four House teams have scored in excess of 100 points.
The Royal Air Force (RAF) Youth Engagement Team conducted an exciting STEM activity session with our Form 6 pupils, focusing on Python coding, to inspire the next generation of innovators. The event aimed to ignite the pupils' interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through hands-on learning experiences.
Hinsley Hall transformed into an interstellar wonderland with the addition of an inflatable dome, allowing Form 4 to embark on a journey through the cosmos. As part of their current Science topic, the children explored distant planets, marvelled at sparkling stars, and learnt about the mysteries of outer space in this immersive experience.
Kindergarten welcomed Rob Jaina who is Head of Learning and Engagement at Silverstone Museum to talk to the children about all Formula 1 motorsports as part of their current interests in different types of vehicles. The interactive workshop also formed part of the children's Discovery Time in their outdoor area.
Form 1 recently took the stage with their original production, 'Roman Britain Rewritten.' This engaging and energetic play was a collaborative effort, written by the Form 1 class and their drama teacher, with musical contributions from the Byron House music teacher and choreography from our specialist dance teacher.

Helen believes that achieving success in sport depends not only on your physical ability but also very much on the strength of your mindset.
A Year 7 pupil treated the Å·ÃÀ×ÔÅÄ's community to a first-class performance of Finzi's 'Five Bagatelles' for Clarinet and Piano. First performed in London in January 1943 by Pauline Juler and core repertoire for professional clarinetists in recitals ever since, this delightful set of pieces was performed with great maturity, technical assurance and characterful expressiveness.
A former Team GB para athlete and Å·ÃÀ×ÔÅÄ alumnus is more than halfway through a solo skiing expedition to the South Pole.
The Choir of Å·ÃÀ×ÔÅÄ’s College Cambridge went on a festive tour to Budapest, Munich and Hamburg just before Christmas. Our 13 Choristers were accompanied by the rest of the Choir, two College Organ Scholars, as well as the Director of Music, Christopher Gray.
